The Interventional Oncology United Kingdom (IOUK) group is a special interest group within the British Society of Interventional Radiology (BSIR)
Mission statement:
The IOUK group formation will serve as a forum to foster engagement and collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in deciding the future direction of IO travel e.g. teaching & training, research & innovation, service delivery and clinical governance.

IOUK have recently conducted a study on the provision of Interventional Oncology Services in the UK.
The cross sectional study contacted 179 trusts across the UK with 100% response rate.
Conclusion
The provision of IO services in the UK is promising; however, collaborative networks are necessary to ensure disease-modifying IO procedures are made accessible to all patients and to facilitate larger registry data for research with commissioning of new services.
