BSIR ADVANCED SKILLS COURSE 2024

The BSIR Advanced Skills Course 2024 was held at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, in their newly opened Louisa Martindale Building.

Dr Chloe Mortensen worked incredibly hard to provide a fantastic programme, covering both lectures and hands-on workshops, with a Vascular focus. Delegate favourites include Vascular MDT, EVAR planning and software, Mesenteric Ischemia CBD’s, Vascular Malformations, Pelvic Congestion and PE.

Our Advanced Skills Course is always well attended, and this year did not disappoint. We had 30 delegates in attendance, including two delegates joining us from Hong Kong, and one from South Africa. Our incredible Faculty joined us from across the UK, with some being local and working within University Hospitals Sussex itself.

Our Industry Partners joined us once again for our exhibition, and to share their expertise in some of our hands-on workshops. We included 1 hour exhibition time in the main programme for delegates this year, allowing our industry partners to discuss and demonstrate their products, uninterrupted, along with lunchtime and refreshment breaks.

We look forward to welcoming delegates back to the Advanced Skills Course in 2025, this time, with an IO focus.
