The 8th Annual AI Congress 2025: From Strategy to Deployment

The BIR AI Congress returns for its 8th year in a central position in the UK AI sphere on the 27th - 28th March 2025. This year's Congress continues to showcase AI in the NHS dealing with AI strategy, government policy, ethics, governance, post-market surveillance and future scoping.

There is a wide panel of speakers already lined up. Drawn not just from radiology but from other specialties starting their journey in AI along with the latest showcases from industry.
The event will be held across two-days with sessions appealing to our multidisciplinary audience.

Vascular Ultrasound Imaging course

Park Regis Bimringham

13th May 2025 - 14th May 2025

Join us for an intensive two day course on the theory and practical application of duplex, pulsed wave, colour and power Doppler techniques in the investigation of the carotid and venous vasculature.

Day two focuses on Venous ultrasound, ultrasound colour duplex imaging of the deep and superficial venous system. This includes a lecture by a vascular surgeon and an opportunity to use a limb phantom for training in ultrasound monitoring of Endovenous laser ablation procedures under the guidance of the surgeon.

Structure:
Theory lectures are supported by practical hands-on scanning workshops, facilitated by our expert faculty.

1. The lectures are designed to cover both the basic principles of techniques and a review of the current state of ultrasound arteriography and venography.
2. The practical workshops provide 1:1 supervised scanning opportunities in small groups, with a range of live models and ultrasound systems.


Topics include:
Haemodynamics and Doppler Ultrasound, Lower limb arteries, Investigation carotid and vertebral arteries, Superficial venous system, Intracranial vasculature, Lower Limb Deep venous system, Upper limb vasculature, Ultrasound imaging in surgery, Aorta and branches, Stent and graft surveillance, Ultrasound monitoring of haemodialysis, Artefacts and errors.

Clinical lectures also include Ultrasound imaging in surgical procedures and an artefacts and errors guide. Specific clinical lectures include:

• Normal vasculature and variants
• Examination protocols
• Currently accepted diagnostic criteria
• Case histories
• Pitfalls in interpretation

Course dinner:
All delegates are invited to the complementary course dinner on Tuesday 13th May 2025.
